Bharatpur/Dholpur, June 27 -- A Van Mitra (forest volunteer) sustained injuries after being attacked by a tigress in Rajasthan's Dholpur district on Friday, officials said. The incident occurred in the Rijhauni forest area of the Dholpur-Karauli Tiger Reserve. Forest volunteers Rajveer Meena and Sonu Meena were on routine tiger-tracking duty when the attack took place. Tigress T-117 attacked Rajveer Meena while he was checking camera traps in the forest. After being alerted, a forest department team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured volunteer to Sarmathura Hospital. He was later referred to the District Mangal Singh Hospital for further treatment. Regional forest officer Devendra Singh said "Rajveer Meena is undergoing treatment and his condition is stable. The injuries are not serious."...
