Jaipur, Sept. 10 -- The Congress has stepped up its efforts to engage with Gen Z, with party leaders focusing on issues including artificial intelligence, employment, education, competitive examinations and greater political participation at the party's "Gen Z for Change" programme at the Constitution Club on Wednesday. Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra, Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully, and Indian Youth Congress national president Uday Bhanu Chib interacted with a large gathering of young people at the event. Jully said Gen Z was growing up at a time of rapid technological change, with artificial intelligence now influencing almost every sector. He said young people should not fear AI but understand the technology and use it to their advantage. "AI is changing the nature of employment," he said, adding that young people who acquire an understanding of the technology would be better placed to take advantage of future jobs and opportunities. He also raised the issue of the coaching system in Kota and the pressure faced by students preparing for competitive examinations. He said students spend years and large amounts of money preparing for examinations, but limited vacancies and seats leave many disappointed. Dotasra said the performance of any government should be judged by how seriously it addresses issues concerning young people and how much space their concerns receive in policymaking. He said young people acquire the right to vote at the age of 18 and, if they are considered capable of choosing a government, their voices should also be heard in decisions concerning their future.htc...
