Jaipur, Aug. 5 -- The Centre has released Rs.141.11 crore under the Amended Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (ATUFS) for 302 textile projects in Rajasthan over the past five years, the Ministry of Textiles informed the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Responding to an unstarred question by Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal, minister of state for textiles Pabitra Margherita said the Centre is implementing schemes including the Scheme for Integrated Textile Parks (SITP), Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme, National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM), Samarth Scheme, National Handloom Development Programme and National Handicrafts Development Programme in Rajasthan. ATUFS assistance rose from Rs.25.91 crore in 2021-22 to Rs.30.46 crore in 2025-26. The scheme aims to modernise units, improve competitiveness, boost exports and generate employment. Under SITP, three integrated textile parks have been sanctioned - Next Gen Textile Park in Pali (Rs.40 crore), Kishangarh Hi-Tech Textile Weaving Park in Ajmer (Rs.36 crore) and Jaipur Integrated Texcraft Park (Rs.24.06 crore). Five environmental projects have also been sanctioned under the Integrated Processing Development Scheme, including two water pollution treatment and reverse osmosis facilities in Barmer, the Sanganer Enviro Project in Jaipur, Nextgen Textile Park in Pali and the Pali Common Effluent Treatment Plant. The projects have received more than Rs.159 crore in Central assistance. Under the National Handloom Development Programme, two clusters received Rs.2.02 crore, benefiting 465 workers. Another 163 weavers received improved looms, 930 underwent skill training, two producer companies were formed and 268 beneficiaries enrolled under social security schemes. Two lakh kg of yarn was also supplied under transport and price subsidy. In handicrafts, Rs.83.37 crore was sanctioned for 669 programmes between 2021-22 and 2025-26, benefiting 27,287 artisans. Six Rajasthan companies are among 170 firms selected under the PLI scheme for man-made fibre and technical textiles. The state is also participating in NTTM research projects covering advanced composites, textile-based armour, wind turbine blades, textile waste-based energy storage and geotextiles. The ministry said 57,725 beneficiaries in Rajasthan had completed training under the Samarth Scheme, which provides placement-oriented skill development across the textile value chain....
