Jaipur, Aug. 17 -- The Rajasthan government has announced a 10% increase in the honorarium of ASHA workers, while chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma transferred more than Rs.74 crore directly to beneficiaries and frontline women workers under various welfare schemes. As a Raksha Bandhan gift, the CM transferred Rs.1,100 each to every Anganwadi worker, helper and SATHIN through direct benefit transfer (DBT), involving a total amount of Rs.14.65 crore. Addressing the state-level 'Saksham Nari, Swasth Bachpan, Samriddh Rajasthan' programme at the Rajasthan International Centre on Saturday, he said Anganwadi workers, helpers and SATHINs were playing an invaluable role in advancing women's welfare and child development. He said the assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana had been increased from Rs.5,000 to Rs.6,500, while assistance for pregnant women with disabilities had been raised to Rs.10,000.htc...
