Jaipur, June 23 -- The recent appointments to the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) and the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) have rekindled hopes among BJP workers and leaders awaiting political appointments since the party came to power in the state. After an 11-month gap in political and constitutional nominations, the fresh appointments are being seen as a signal that the government may soon begin filling long-vacant posts in boards, commissions and academies. With the BJP government completing two-and-a-half years in office, political activity has intensified and aspirants have stepped up lobbying efforts for key positions. The state government had earlier made appointments in nine boards and commissions, with the last major appointment being that of Arun Chaturvedi as Chairman of the State Finance Commission on August 1, 2025. With the appointment of Prof. Santosh Anand and Dr. Deepak Kumar Sharma as RPSC members and Hanuman Singh Rathore as Chairman of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, the total number of political and constitutional appointments made by the BJP government has now risen to 12. At present, top posts in nine key institutions and commissions, including the Lokayukta, remain vacant.
