Jodhpur, July 21 -- Another woman succumbed to post- surgery complications on Sunday night at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Jodhpur, officials said. Two women have died in the hospital in recent weeks with severe postpartum complications. According to hospital officials, the woman, Samu, underwent a normal delivery at Tinwari Hospital on June 24 and gave birth to a baby girl. However, she developed severe postpartum haemorrhage, and as the bleeding could not be controlled, she was referred to Umaid Hospital in Jodhpur. She was later shifted to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital on June 27, where she remained on ventilator support and underwent continuous dialysis. Her condition worsened again on July 14, and she died late on Sunday night. Mahatma Gandhi Hospital superintendent Dr Fateh Singh said the woman suffered hypovolemic shock due to excessive blood loss following childbirth, severely affecting blood circulation to her vital organs. "As the bleeding from her uterus did not stop, she was referred to Jodhpur. When the bleeding could not be controlled, her uterus was removed. However, her condition did not improve," he said....
