Jaipur, July 3 -- The Rajasthan High Court on Thursday directed the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) to provisionally allow all candidates who had submitted applications for the main Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment Examination-2021 to appear in the re-examination, irrespective of whether they had appeared in the original test. Hearing a batch of petitions, Justice Ganeshram Meena directed the RPSC to include all original applicants in the re-examination process and provide them with an opportunity to edit their application forms. The court's order comes in response to the RPSC's notice issued on May 8, under which only those candidates who had appeared in the main SI Recruitment Examination-2021 were permitted to apply for the proposed re-examination between May 16 and May 30. It is notable that original SI Recruitment 2021 had attracted nearly 7.95 lakh applicants. However, only 3.83 lakh candidates appeared for both papers of the written examination conducted between September 13 and 15, 2021. Based on this, the RPSC had decided to restrict eligibility for the re-examination to only those candidates who had appeared in both papers of the original examination.
