Jaipur, July 28 -- The state BJP and the Congress, are trying to devise strategies to directly engage with students and young voters (Generation-Z), leaders from both parties said, citing the upcoming local boy elections, followed by the 2028 Assembly elections, as spurring the need to update campaign strategies. The BJP is preparing to launch a "Student Feedback Programme", while the Congress plans to constitute a dedicated "Gen-Z Committee", party leaders said. BJP state social media cell in-charge Hirendra Kaushik said that under its Student Feedback Programme, the BJP's youth wing, women's wing and social media teams will visit educational institutes to meet students. The campaign will seek feedback on the Centre's education initiatives, and other issues concerning students, he said. The state Congress's social media and digital platforms department chairman Sumit Bhagasara said the party was setting up a Gen-Z Committee, initially at the state level before being expanded to assembly constituency and block levels. The renewed focus comes after nationwide protests over an allegedly crumbling education system spurred former Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation. The BJP recently launched its youth outreach campaign on Kargil Vijay Diwas, when its youth wing organised a screening of the film Shershaah, based on Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra. The event prominently featured the slogan "Gen-Z with Modi Ji", signalling the party's attempt to combine nationalism with youth outreach. The Congress, meanwhile, has also stepped up its focus on students on a nationa level. Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has been highlighting issues related to competitive examinations and youth employment with the "Students' Voice" campaign launched from Kota being viewed as part of this broader strategy....
