ACB names 10 accused in charge sheet: Officials
Jaipur, April 14 -- The anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Monday submitted a charge sheet against 10 accused in connection with the alleged large-scale corruption in the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), officials said.
The accused include senior officials such as Dinesh Goyal (currently chief engineer, administration), KD Gupta (then chief engineer, rural), Subhanshu Dixit (then secretary, RWSSM and additional chief engineer, Jaipur region-II), Sushil Sharma (then financial advisor, renewable energy), Niril Kumar (then chief engineer, Churu), Vishal Saxena (suspended executive engineer), Arun Srivastava (retired additional chief engineer), DK Gaur (retired chief engineer and technical member), Mahendra Prakash Soni (retired superintending engineer), and Mukesh Pathak.
All 10 accused were arrested by the ACB and are currently in judicial custody.
Officials said a report will be sent to the concerned departments seeking prosecution sanction against them, while investigation against other suspects is still underway.
The bureau is continuing efforts to trace three absconding accused-Jitendra Sharma (executive engineer), Mukesh Goyal (superintending engineer), and Sanjeev Gupta (private individual)-against whom standing warrants have been issued.
The matter is also being heard by the Rajasthan high court, where 11 petitions related to the case are currently pending....
