Jaipur, Aug. 14 -- Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Thursday said 473 families belonging to Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic communities had been provided housing in Jaipur. The chief minister urged them to educate their children, equip them with skills and qualifications, and encourage them to contribute to nation-building, stressing that education and empowerment were key to bringing these communities into the mainstream of development. Addressing a housing-flat allotment ceremony for families from these communities at the Constitution Club, Sharma said the state government was working with sensitivity towards disadvantaged sections and was committed to their economic and social empowerment. He said special attention was being given to basic needs such as housing and education for communities that contribute significantly to society, so that they could become part of the mainstream of development. Under the housing scheme at Jaisinghpura Khor, beneficiaries have received one-bePTIdroom, hall and kitchen units. He added that 50 flats in Kota and 80 plots in Jodhpur were ready for allotment. Describing the allotment letters for permanent homes as a symbol of dignity, security and stability, Sharma said the state was assessing housing requirements in every district and adding eligible families to the list for assistance. The CM said the government had also accelerated work to provide land rights alongside housing. So far, 838 plots and 106 flats had been allotted to families belonging to Nomadic, Semi-Nomadic, Gadia Lohar and Kalbelia communities in urban areas....
