2 Raj IPS officers empanelled for DG-level posts in Central govt
Jaipur, June 15 -- Senior Rajasthan cadre IPS officers Dinesh MN and Biju George Joseph have been empanelled for director general (DG) or equivalent-level posts in the central government, officials said.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has cleared the empanelment of 33 IPS officers for DG-level appointments at the Centre. Dinesh and Joseph, both from the 1995 batch, are among the officers included in the list.
This makes them eligible for appointment to senior positions in various central government departments and organisations.
Dinesh MN, currently ADGP of the Anti-Gangster Task Force and Anti-Narcotics Task Force, is known for his role in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Anandpal Singh encounter cases.
Biju George Joseph, presently ADGP (Personnel), previously served as Jaipur and Jodhpur police commissioner and is credited with helping formulate the strategy that led to the arrest of the accused in the murder of Rashtriya Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.htc...
