Bharatpur, July 11 -- Two men accused of shooting a 50-year-old trader dead in Bharatpur district were arrested on Friday, said police , adding that one of them was shot in the leg during a short gunfight with officers. The accused were identified as Balram Singh (21), and Praveen Kumar (35), both residents of Kasot village in Deeg district. Their accomplice Mahesh Prajapat was arrested on Wednesday. District SP Rajesh Meena said the victim, Chandrabhan Sharma, from Subhash Nagar , was shot dead on the Jaipur-Mathura bypass on Saturday while returning from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. Three armed men on a motorcycle intercepted Sharma, opened fire on him and fled the spot, he said. Sharma succumbed to his injuries during treatment in Jaipur the following day. Police formed multiple teams to identify and apprehend the accused. A tip-off on Friday led police to Balram Singh and Praveen Kumar, said the SP, adding that the latter allegedly snatched a pistol from a police personnel and attempted to open fire.
