2 bodies found in Narmada Canal, probe on: police
Barmer/Jalore, June 25 -- Two bodies of a man and a woman were recovered from the Narmada Canal in the Sanchore on Wednesday morning, police said.
According to police, the incident came to light in Dedwa village after locals spotted the bodies in the canal and alerted authorities. Police teams rushed to the spot, retrieved the bodies, and sent them for autopsy.
A motorcycle was also found parked near the canal a short distance from the scene, prompting villagers to begin a search after suspicions arose that the duo may have fallen into the canal on Tuesday night.
"There were indications that both individuals may have fallen into the Narmada Canal late Tuesday. A motorcycle was found parked near the canal, following which villagers initiated a search. The bodies were recovered on Wednesday morning and have been sent for autopsy. The case may be linked to a love affair or suicide, but all angles are being thoroughly investigated," DSP Jayaram said....
