Jaipur, July 16 -- A 19-year-old NEET aspirant allegedly died by suicide at her home in Rajasthan's Behror-Kotputli district, police said on Wednesday, adding that the student was reportedly distressed over her performance in the NEET re-examination. According to police, the student was alone at home when the incident occurred. Police said the family had been trying to console the student after the examination, as she was upset with her performance, which she believed did not reflect the effort she had put into her preparation. The incident came to light on Tuesday when the student's mother returned home from school and found her daughter unconscious inside a room. She immediately informed her husband, who asked a neighbour to rush to the house. The family then took the student to a private hospital in Behror, where doctors declared her dead. Behror Kotwali Police Station SHO Ravindra said, "The student's mother informed police she found her daughter dead after returning from school on Tuesday afternoon. The family took her to the hospital, where she was declared dead." ASI Krishna Kumar said, "The police control room received information from the private hospital that a student had died after an alleged suicide. The body was handed over to family after required legal formalities. Further probe is on".htc...
