Jaipur, Oct. 3 -- Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee president Govind Singh Dotasra on Friday said the party would seek a formal response from former minister Vishvendra Singh over his recent social media posts criticising the state leadership, saying the party would not act on statements circulating online without verifying them. "Today itself, the PCC will seek a response from Vishvendra Singh and ascertain what the truth is. The matter will be examined and we will speak on it on the basis of its merits," he said at the state Congress office. He said social media could not be used to create an atmosphere either in favour of or against anyone and indicated that the party could examine such matters through a committee. "Various things keep circulating on social media. We cannot create an atmosphere either in someone's favour or against someone through social media. We will have every such matter examined through a committee". Dotasra also said he was not certain which social media account was officially operated by Singh. "I am the state Congress president. I cannot comment on something that has come through social media. Whenever anything official comes, it will be examined". At the time of his remarks, Dotasra maintained that Singh remained a Congress member in the absence of any formal resignation. "As of today, Vishvendra Singh is 100% in the Congress. He is a senior Congress leader. Until I receive an official letter from him, there is no other question," he said. Dotasra also said there was no restriction on Singh visiting Jaipur or on Congress leaders travelling to Bharatpur. He said the party was working collectively for the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections and had discussed preparations with senior leaders. "We are all together and working with unity. We fought the municipal elections together and held discussions with senior leaders before taking decisions"....
