Jaipur, Sept. 9 -- Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday accused former chief minister Ashok Gehlot' of leading and enabling a regime steeped in corruption. Addressing a roadshow in Pali to campaign for the upcoming civic body elections, Sharma said Gehlot was busy making allegedly baseless claims against the BJP government instead of accounting for his own tenure's performance. "When we presented a report in the Assembly comparing our two years of work with their five years, Congress leaders ran away from the House instead of participating in the debate," Sharma said. The chief minister claimed that the BJP government had fulfilled 78% of the promises made in its election manifesto within two-and-a-half years. Hailing the "One State, One Election" initiative, he alleged that the Congress had repeatedly conducted civic elections over a period of two-and-a-half years and panchayat elections over two years, resulting in expenditure of public funds....
