three killed after landslide hits house in pauri village
Dehradun, Aug. 19 -- Three people were killed after a landslide hit a house in a village in Pauri Garhwal district on Tuesday and buried its four occupants under debris, police said.
The deceased were identified as Rudraksh (2), Dhirendra Singh (46), and Mathura Devi (70), all residents of Mahargaon. One person was rescued. The incident took place at Mahargaon village, said police.
"Three occupants were killed, and another was rescued," said SSP Sarvesh Panwar. Teams from the district administration, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and police rushed to Mahargaon after receiving information about the landslide, said officials.
