Why Aayush Sharma chooses consistency over extremes
India, June 8 -- Known for his evolving style and disciplined lifestyle, actor Aayush Sharma believes that both fashion and fitness are ultimately about confidence and consistency rather than chasing perfection. While audiences often associate him with dramatic physical transformations, Sharma says his relationship with fitness has changed significantly over the years.
"What starts as aesthetics, eventually evolves into strength and performance," he tells us, adding, "But honestly, the goal is to feel capable, not just look a certain way."
Maintaining a film-ready physique throughout the year comes with its own challenges. According to Sharma, the real battle is often mental rather than physical. That is why he no longer relies on motivation alone, choosing instead to trust routine and discipline.
He shares, "Some days it's not about feeling inspired. You show up, you finish what you need to do, and you trust that discipline will carry you through."
Away from the gym, Sharma takes a similarly thoughtful approach to fashion. Often seen in sharply tailored looks, he believes personal style is becoming increasingly important for Indian men.
"We're not just having a moment, we're building a language," he says of the current menswear landscape. "Indian menswear today is rooted but not restricted. There's experimentation without losing identity, and that balance is what makes it exciting," the 35-year-old adds.
His own fashion philosophy is straightforward: Fit over brand always. Yet he is not afraid to bend traditional style rules. He shares, "I happily break the 'less is more' rule sometimes because once in a while, more is more, if you can carry it."
The actor has also noticed changing attitudes towards grooming and self-care among men. What was once viewed as optional is increasingly becoming part of everyday wellness, a shift Sharma sees as positive.
He shares, "There's a shift from hesitation to awareness. Men aren't asking if they should take care of themselves anymore. They're asking how. And that's a good place to be."
For Sharma, whether it is fitness, fashion or grooming, the approach remains the same: consistency, self-awareness and the confidence to evolve without losing sight of who you are.htc...
