India, Aug. 4 -- Reflecting on his four-and-a-half decades in Hindi cinema, actor Sanjay Dutt has said Bollywood has become "more cut-throat" over the years, contrasting it with what he described as Hollywood's culture of unity and mutual support. Speaking to gastroenterologist Dr D Nageshwar Reddy on the hospital's YouTube channel, Dutt said the Indian film industry no longer shares the sense of community it once did. "In Hollywood, everybody is together, they are friends. It's competitive, but it's very healthy. Over there, everyone is very united. The actors are together, the writers are together. There are industry bodies that support everyone. Even at the Oscars, there's so much togetherness. Whenever an actor goes up to receive an award, there's no jealousy. You can genuinely see everyone celebrating each other. It's beautiful," he said. Looking back at his career, which began with Rocky (1981), Dutt recalled a time when Bollywood functioned like a close-knit family. "When I started, the industry felt like a family. Everyone was together, everyone was helping one another. Now it's become much more cut-throat, much more competitive. It's sad, but I hope it comes back," he added. HTC...
