India, Aug. 1 -- As debate intensified over KATSEYE member Sophia Laforteza missing the girl group's performance due to illness while photos from her vacation surfaced online, the 23-year-old addressed the topic of online hate during a podcast that aired on Thursday. Sophia joined her bandmates on Jake Shane's podcast where the band reflected on their musical journey and shared insights into their path as a band. At one point, Sophia addressed the criticism and negativity the group has faced. Referring to the online haters, Sophia said, "A lot of these people don't have original thoughts." When Jake asked how they handle online trolls, she responded, "The internet isn't the whole world." The response to the criticism comes amid the controversy surrounding Sophia. Following the group's announcement on Tuesday (inset right) that Sophia would not be joining them for their headlining set at the Hinterland Music Festival in Iowa, US, on July 30, photos allegedly showing her at Catalina Island in the US, reportedly taken days earlier, began circulating online.
