India, June 14 -- Renowned film producer, director, writer, actor, and singer Dr Rajainderr Jaina is all set to begin production of his new Hindi feature film Bedakhal (Disowned) under his banner. The film delves into the changing dynamics of human relationships and the emotional conflicts that often exist behind the relatives we consider our own. According to Dr Jaina, the film is inspired by a question that he has contemplated for years: What does it truly mean when we call someone "our own"? While relationships are often built on trust, affection, care, respect and shared experiences, he believes that reality can sometimes be far more complex. Speaking about the idea behind the film, he says: "Most of us take pride in believing that certain people are our own. We trust them with our emotions, our secrets, and our lives. We assume they will stand by us through every challenge because they are our companions in both happiness and sorrow. But life often reveals a different truth." Dr Jaina also notes that while some people are fortunate to receive unwavering support from their loved ones, many others are disappointed by those they trusted the most. At times, they discover that relationships can be influenced by personal interests, expectations, status, or convenience. According to him, it is often during illness, financial hardship, or difficult phases of life that the true strength of a relationship is tested. Reflecting on this reality, he recalls the famous lines by poet Bashir Badr, "Koi haath bhi na milaega jo gale miloge tapak se, ye naye mijaz shahar hai, zara fasalon se mila karo." Dr Jaina shares that over time, these words acquired deeper meaning for him. There was a period when he took great pride in his friendships and family ties, believing that those around him, including close friends, genuinely cared for his well-being. However, life's experiences led him to realise that not every relationship is as sincere as it appears. Some people, he says, are drawn not by affection but by what a person represents - whether influence, resources, status, or utility. Through Bedakhal, Dr Jaina seeks to explore these uncomfortable yet universal truths. The film examines trust, expectations, emotional dependence, betrayal, and the difficult process of recognising who truly stands by us when circumstances change. At its core, Bedakhal is not merely a story about broken relationships. It is also a reflection on self-awareness, resilience, and the importance of understanding the difference between genuine support and superficial attachment. Dr Jaina will also be seen in a pivotal role in the film. A more positive and family-oriented exploration of similar themes can also be found in his upcoming television serial Namokar, which is slated for release soon on Doordarshan.HTC...
