India, Sept. 13 -- C horeographers Bosco Martis and Caesar Gonsalves, popularly known as the duo Bosco-Caesar, have completed 25 years in the film industry, and they mark it with their work in the recently released Haiwaan and the upcoming Vvaan: Force of The Forrest. "The moment came quietly, but it brought a sense of pride," says Bosco, adding, "Caesar and I have known each other for over three decades, and Mission Kashmir (2000) was our first film together, as assistants to (choreographer-director) Farah Khan. Dance hamein saath laya. We are two people connected through our journeys and passion for dance." While they remain one of the most renowned names in Bollywood choreography, Bosco notes the decline in work over the years with more songs being integrated in the background in films. "Early 2000s and '90s mein jaise gaane bante the, that level of songs are nowhere to be seen. Huge songs with grand canvases and dancers are all gone, and it's high time makers stop being skeptical and afraid about bringing those song-and-dance sequences back," he says. The 51-year-old elaborates, "In our country, we have always celebrated that part of cinema, and we always will. Naye gaane hi nahin aate, even around festivals. Tauba Tauba (Bad Newz, 2024) is an example that we can focus on songs, dance, and dancers, and bring that trend back. Songs are not only for promotion; they were always a part of storytelling." In these 25 years, the choreographer duo has made many actors dance to their tunes, including Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal. But the latter remains special. "We have worked less with Vicky, but it feels like apne bhai ke liye kar rahe hain. Tauba Tauba opened up another side of Vicky to the audience," says Bosco, who insists that their toughest student still remains actor Hrithik Roshan: "How can you perfect perfection?"...
