India, Aug. 8 -- Actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's marriage in 1991 had taken not just fans but even their family by surprise. During their recent appearance on actors Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi's podcast Double Date, Saif's younger sisters, Soha Ali Khan and Saba Pataudi, recalled how they found out about the wedding while they were still in school. Saif, then 21, married Amrita, who was 33 at the time, after a whirlwind romance of eight months. The ceremony was such a last-minute affair that no one from either family was in attendance. Saba, who was 15 then, said, "He got married when we were in school... We got a call in the principal's office from the parents saying, 'You won't tell anyone anything'. We don't know how real the news is because it was in the newspapers by then. So we were told that we shouldn't tell anyone." When Neha expressed surprise that the sisters had not attended the wedding, Soha, who was 13 at the time, shared, "Also, we were very young then. I remember my French teacher told me. It was a last-minute affair." Saif and Amrita were married for 13 years and have two children, actors Sara Ali Khan, 30, and Ibrahim Ali Khan, 25. They got divorced in 2004. Saif later married actor Kareena Kapoor Khan in 2012, and the couple have two sons, Taimur, 9, and Jehangir, 5. Amrita did not marry again....
