India, Sept. 25 -- Actor Manav Kaul, who plays one of the lead characters, Shirish Kemmu in the sports drama, can barely contain his excitement. Speaking to us from Paris, the 49-year-old says he got the news just minutes before our conversation, and that it is yet to sink in. "I just got a message and someone congratulating me. When I asked why, he said, 'Oh, because your series is part of the International Emmy Awards.' My God, such a feeling," he recalls. The series was one of only two Indian nominations, alongside Vir Das's stand-up special Fool Volume in the Comedy category. Kaul calls the recognition a huge "win-win" for India. "How many amazing series are there in the world right now? People are doing such amazing stuff in the entire world. And your series is one of them being selected. It's huge," he adds. For Kaul, the nomination also feels personal because he felt the project deserved more recognition. "I always felt that this project did not get its due credit and it deserved much more viewership than what it got. And now I hope it reaches the masses," he concludes....
