India, March 1 -- A fresh character poster from Spirit has confirmed a key casting change in the much-anticipated film. After the makers unveiled the first look of Vivek Oberoi's character on Friday and tagged the cast and crew on social media, one name was noticeably absent - Prakash Raj. HT online exclusively learnt that Prakash is no longer part of the project. The actor was announced as a member of the cast last year. However, earlier this month, an OTTPlay report had claimed that following a heated exchange with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga over the script and staging of a scene, Prakash had walked out of the film. The actor had dismissed the speculation at the time, writing on X, "To all the toxic #Fakenews peddlers. On #Spirit the movie. We have not even started shooting for my scenes .. and you whatsup factories speculate stories. Grow up and have a life." But with his name now missing from the latest promotional asset, rumours resurfaced. Additionally, there is currently no clarity on who will replace him. Spirit stars Prabhas and Triptii Dimri in the lead. The film marks Vanga's first project since the blockbuster Animal (2023) and his return to Telugu cinema after nearly a decade.
