India, Sept. 19 -- The recent Christopher Nolan film based on Homer's Odyssey has sparked renewed interest in artistic interpretations of the epic. York Art Gallery in the UK has displayed painter JMW Turner's famous Ulysses Deriding Polyphemus - Homer's Odyssey as part of its exhibition Turner, Wedgwood & Beyond: Inspired by Flaxman. The display, featuring over 100 works, celebrates York-born artist John Flaxman on his 200th death anniversary and explores his influence on artists including Turner, William Blake and Josiah Wedgwood.
