Mongolian President, 58, bench presses 100kg for 20 reps, internet is impressed
India, Sept. 13 -- Mongolia's President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh has caught the internet's attention after a video showed him bench pressing a reported 100kg for 20 repetitions during a visit to a military unit. The 58-year-old leader, who previously served in the Mongolian People's Army, is seen completing the set in front of officers and soldiers.
In the video, Khurelsukh, dressed in a suit, removes his jacket, lies on the bench and begins lifting the barbell. He completes 20 repetitions before getting up, shaking hands with the personnel around him and putting his jacket back on. The clip was shared on social media on September 10 and has since drawn attention online. The reported 100kg weight cannot be independently verified from the video.
Khurelsukh has served as Mongolia's President since 2021 and was previously the country's prime minister from 2017 to 2021. According to NDTV, he has a background in bodybuilding and martial arts and also served in the Mongolian People's Army. The report also notes that he plays guitar in rock band Pals and founded a Harley-Davidson fan club in Mongolia.
The video has also drawn reactions on X, with viewers praising the President's strength. Comments included "Absolute powerhouse!" and "That strength is unreal", while another user called the reps "too clean"....
