Lee Soo-hyuk exits K-drama mid-production
India, Aug. 22 -- In an unexpected turn of events, South Korean actor Lee Soo-hyuk, known for Lucky Romance and Born Again, has opted out of Netflix's upcoming palace romance-fantasy drama Men of the Harem while production was already underway. According to The Korean Times, his agency, Saram Entertainment, confirmed that the actor left the project due to scheduling conflicts.
Based on a popular web novel, the show follows Latil, empress of the Tarium Empire, as five royal consorts compete for her affection amid palace intrigue. The series is directed by Lee Eung-bok, known for Guardian: The Lonely and Great God and Descendants of the Sun, and stars Suzy, Shin Seung-ho, Dex, Kim Dan and Yoo Jung-hoo.
Lee's exit has sparked disappointment among fans. One fan on X questioned his "busy schedule", writing, "This man stays jobless 24/7. He's nowhere to be found in sponsored ads, variety shows, brand events, fan meetings, lead roles, cameos. No one sends him food trucks either. So I'm genuinely curious what kind of busy schedule did he have that made him turn down this offer?"HTC...
