India, Aug. 20 -- J asveen Sangha, infamously known as the "Ketamine Queen," has agreed to plead guilty to supplying the drugs that led to the death of Friends star Matthew Perry. The 42-year-old struck a deal with US federal prosecutors on Monday, avoiding trial that was set for September. According to the Department of Justice, Jasveen will plead guilty to five federal charges: one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of ketamine distribution and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury. Prosecutors allege that Jasveen was a prolific dealer and sold Matthew the batch of ketamine that caused his fatal overdose in October 2023. She faces up to 45 years in prison, with her official guilty plea and sentencing date to be scheduled at an upcoming court hearing. Jasveen is one of five defendants charged in the case. Among them is Dr Salvador Plasencia, who signed his plea deal in June. Others, Dr Mark Chavez, Kenneth Iwamasa, and Erik Fleming, pleaded guilty last year and agreed to cooperate with investigators, implicating Jasveen and Dr Salvador in the process.
