India, Nov. 5 -- After four years together, singer Kanika Kapoor announced her separation from her husband, London-based businessman Gautam Hathiramani. She shared a post on Instagram Stories on Tuesday (see inset), but did not disclose the reason. The former couple got married on May 20, 2022, in an intimate ceremony in London. They had known each other for nearly 15 years and were close friends before their relationship turned romantic. Kapoor, known for songs including Baby Doll, Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan and Lovely, had once shared in an interview that she asked him to marry her twice, in 2014 and 2020, before he proposed in August 2021. Her three children from her first marriage, daughters Aayana and Samara and son Yuvraaj, were actively involved in the wedding celebrations. This was Kanika's second marriage.
