India, Sept. 27 -- South Korean singer Hongjoong (right), leader ofK-pop group ATEEZ, has backed BTS' decision not to submit music for Grammy consideration. In a Variety interview, he was asked whether ATEEZ would make the same choice after BTS declined to submit music for the 2027 Grammys' new Best Asian Pop Music Performance category. "I think I little agree with what BTS did," Hongjoong said. Calling the Grammys a "dream" for both him and ATEEZ, he added, "I think music has no boundary." He saidK-pop artists work across genres and do not think of their music as strictly "Korean", "American" or "UK" music. BTS announced in July that it would not submit music for this year's Grammy consideration, after the Recording Academy introduced the Asian pop category.
