It's Sisterhood Before StardomFor W.i.S.H.
India, June 22 -- Formed by composer-producer Mikey McCleary and debuting in 2024 with Lazeez, W.i.S.H. - comprising Ri (Riya Duggal), Sim (Simran Duggal), Zo (Zoe Siddharth) and Suchi (Suchita Shirke) - has emerged as India's first mainstream girl group in over two decades. This past weekend, they performed to the Mumbai crowd at C.O.R.E.-Culture of Real Experiences fandom fest.
While their music continues to evolve through collaborations with international producers and songwriters, their strongest asset remains the bond they share offstage. "We're singing, dancing, rapping and doing everything together. If one of us messes up, someone else always steps in and covers for her. That's what sisterhood means for us," the group says.
That sense of solidarity has become central to W.i.S.H.'s identity and message. "We're just showing people that women are meant to support each other. We understand each other. We can have disagreements and fights, but we resolve them like sisters do." they say.
The members hope young girls take away one lesson from their journey: "A woman's experience is something only another woman can truly understand. That's the beauty of sisterhood."...
