India, Sept. 7 -- A ctor-MP Kangana Ranaut on Saturday pulled up officials over the slow utilisation of funds. She raised the issue during a District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting in her Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh. In a video that has since gone viral (inset right), Ranaut questioned why nearly half of the Rs.11 crore allocated had still not been utilised. She said, "Yeh jo faaltu ke jumle hai na, mujhe matt dena yeh. What is this behaviour? Yeh shosha kyu kar rahe hai aap log meetings karne ka, agar aap logo ko kuch karna hi nahin hai? It's become a bloody joke. Main toh aap logo ke baare mein kuch bol bhi nahin sakti national media mein. Kya batau mai aap logo ke work ethics ke baare mein? Toh hum chup reh jaate hai. Lekin aap logon ko sharam nahin hai." The 40-year-old further expressed frustration over what she described as negative publicity surrounding the lack of progress. She added, "Mujhe tumhara office mile na ek din ke liye, mai ek din mein yeh kaam karke dikhaungi. Itna zyaada negative prachaar ho raha hai, itne log Reels bana rahe hain. Iske baad bhi tum log office mein baithke hanste ho kya, 'Badi aayi heroine'."
