IndiA's Met Gala takeover
India, May 6 -- For the third time in a row, the carpet is sourced from a small Indian town, Cherthala, in the Alappuzha district of Kerala. Courtesy of a family-run company called Neytt by Extraweave, which has been the official supplier for the Met. As per reports, around 400 to 500 artisans worked on the carpet for over 90 days and produced 57 rolls, each measuring 4 x 30 metres. Covering a total of 6,840 square metres, the carpets were then shipped for the Gala. Interestingly, this Indian brand has curated the carpet for the fourth time....
