India, Aug. 2 -- Actor Surbhi Jyoti, who welcomed a baby girl in June with her husband, actor-producer Sumit Suri, is embracing the joys of being a new mother. Calling this new phase "a blessing", the 38-year-old shares she likes some things to be "old-school", saying, "I am exclusively breastfeeding my daughter... I always manifested a normal delivery and was sure that if everything went well, I would surely breastfeed my baby." She also added that every mother's choice deserves respect. "There shouldn't be any judgments for mothers who don't (breastfeed). I have seen many people judging women for it. They think if a mother is not nursing her child, she is not a good mum, which is so wrong," she says, adding, "I chose to nurse my baby because I wanted to build that unique bond with her. However, I completely respect mothers who choose differently. Thankfully, our generation is also moving past myths like breastfeeding affecting a mother's appearance or body." Looking ahead to her professional life post motherhood, Surbhi remains pragmatic, stating she was never "gone" to make a "comeback". "Though I have started taking narrations, but I am taking my time for the right project. Kuch acha aaye toh, I am more than happy to don my actor's shoes," she shares. Though she chooses to return to work herself, she reiterates respecting mothers' personal choices regarding the same. "I am among those who want to (work), so I will," she says adding that it is okay if mothers choose otherwise, "Karna toh theek, nahin toh bhi theek. To each her own," she signs off....
