India, May 12 -- For the first four seasons of the web series Gullak, actor Vaibhav Raj Gupta entertained audiences as Anand Mishra aka Annu to his best. Recently, it came as a shocker for fans when actor Anant V Joshi was introduced as the new Annu Mishra in the teaser of the show's fifth season. Fans seem to be accepting the replacement, but social media is definitely missing the OG. "I miss Vaibhav too," admits Anant. The 35-year-old tells us, "As a viewer, it's very natural. This was a conversation right from the beginning, as I think it's a human tendency to be scared of change, but change is inevitable. The bright side is that people are so invested in this character, the story and in the Mishra parivaar. So, I am accepting it with all my heart. I love the fact that I am not getting any hatred. But people miss Vaibhav, and it's such a good feeling to see another actor being missed for what he has created. To be able to do such a loved character, I am all heart and looking forward to how it will be received." Explaining how he seamlessly fit into the onscreen Mishra family, Anant says, "I relate to the story as a member of the audience, because I think most of us come from middle-class family backgrounds. So it becomes easier because we feel like we have always been there in the Mishra family. Fitting in was very natural and probably the easiest thing." Vaibhav, who played Anand Mishra from 2019 to 2024, exited the Gullak franchise reportedly due to creative differences regarding the development of his character....
