India, June 14 -- D ays after a crowd-work clip from his show drew widespread backlash, stand-up comedian Pranit More has issued another apology. The controversy erupted after an audience member linked a Rs.370 biryani bill on a date to sexual entitlement, a remark Pranit laughed at and later rewarded with prize money as the show's "funniest joke". The 35-year-old took to Instagram on Saturday to post a video saying, "Aap sabne mera crowdwork dekha hoga, jiske wajah se mujhe kaafi hate mil rahi hai. Mujhe lagta hai ki main shayad iss hate ko deserve karta hoon." Stating that he is cooperating with authorities in the ongoing legal proceedings, he added, "Jab main uss ladke ke saath crowd work kar raha tha, usne kaafi derogatory baatein boli aur sab log bhi uss par hass rahe thhe. Main chahta toh usse wahin rok sakta tha, lekin maine usse ek platform de diya... Jinko bhi iss wajah se hurt hua, unn sab se main maafi maangna chahta hoon. Main aap se bas yahi request karta hoon ki mujhe ek aur chance diya jaaye." The post drew mixed reactions. While one user wrote, "Agya sympathy lene," another said, "This too shall pass. Stay strong brother." This is Pranit's second apology. Earlier on June 2, he had shared a statement calling it a "lapse in judgement". Meanwhile, a video of audience member Himanshu Jangra sharing his "perspective" was posted on Instagram on Saturday by his former workplace Starvik Design. In the clip, he said, "Jo maine wahan (comedy show) pe bataya woh maine improvise kiya tha... yeh meri mentality nahi hai." The video, however, drew further trolling online, with many questioning why he was given a platform to respond....
