From mending to master crafts: Delhi's textile troves
India, July 12 -- That T-shirt gathering dust or the jeans you planned to discard may still have plenty of life left. This is the idea behind Weave The Future 4.0, a six-day event bringing Delhiites closer to sustainable fashion.
A precursor to Bharat Tex 2026, the showcase has brought together over 100 brands, artisans, designers, start-ups and innovators, offering visitors a chance to explore upcycled fashion, handlooms, recycling solutions, thrift initiatives and sustainable products. It also features hands-on workshops on repair and visible mending, showing how torn or worn-out garments can be transformed instead of discarded.
