Delhi relives Gurdas Maan's OG magic
India, June 30 -- The moment someone hears Dil Da Mamla, one name instantly comes to mind: Gurdas Maan. The title of his iconic song served as the theme for the Punjabi singer's concert in the Capital on Sunday.
As Maan stepped on the stage at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, he greeted everyone saying, "Sat Sri Akal, sareyan nu."
The 69-year-old singer opened the evening with the theme song and moved to his other popular tracks, including Challa, Apna Punjab Hove, and Ki Banu Duniya Da.
The auditorium was packed with approximately 3,000 people, who not only sang along with Maan but also broke into bhangra at regular intervals.
Bringing people across generations together, the concert saw teenagers who tagged along with their parents. "Maan sir is Punjabi music's most iconic voice... At our home, every family gathering has his songs playing in the background," shares Tia Bhatia, a class XII student, adding, "When I found he was performing in Delhi, there was no way I was going to miss it! I even brought along a friend who's a huge Punjabi music fan."...
