India, Aug. 21 -- Hollywood actor David Krumholtz, known for Oppenheimer (2023) and Supergirl, recently announced a break from acting, citing "frustration and exhaustion" with the showbiz world. In a now-deleted social media post, David said he had "put my acting career on hold," admitting he had been petrified to take the step for years due to financial uncertainty. "Frustrated, fed up, fried," he wrote, adding that the decision brought a "huge wave of relief". He said acting as a profession had "lost its gleam", despite still enjoying the craft itself. As his post raised suspicion of him retiring from acting, he put up another post on Wednesday clarifying that isn't the case. "I never used the word 'retiring' or 'quitting'," he wrote on Instagram, stressing that his decision was personal and "not a Hollywood as a whole problem". David also said he needs to prioritise his mental health as disappointments in the industry take a toll. "My career has run the gamut... But I find myself at a crossroads between the inherent self-involvement being a professional actor requires, and a burning desire to give more of myself to others in need, in whatever way I can," he said, promising that he still has more work to do in the future.HTC...
