India, May 20 -- Football icon David Beckham has been honoured with a new English shrub rose named the 'Sir David Beckham' rose. Unveiled at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show on Monday, the bloom features white petals tinged with blush pink and apricot, golden stamens, and a honeyed musk fragrance. The rose was brought to life at the request of Beckham's daughter Harper, 14, in honour of his 50th birthday in May last year. She approached the renowned breeders atDavid Austin Roses with a wish to create something timeless and meaningful. Knowing the former footballer's love for the British countryside, gardening, and beekeeping, they chose a rose that perfectly reflected his personality - elegant, classic, and deeply rooted in nature. The newly unveiled rose also drew admiration from King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the show. Beyond its beauty, the bloom supports a cause close to Beckham's heart. For every rose sold, £2.50 (approximately Rs.260) will be donated toThe King's Foundation, the charity championing sustainability, traditional craftsmanship, and nature-focused communities - where Beckham also serves as an ambassador.HTC...
