Content creator mistakes Indian cricketers for regular hikers
India, June 20 -- A
trek to a hidden waterfall in Dharamshala gave an unsuspecting traveller a story she never imagined she would tell. Instagram user @dreamy.piaa recently shared a Reel from her hiking trip in Himachal Pradesh, where she and a friend spent the day navigating rocky trails in search of a secluded waterfall. Along the way, they were joined by a group of fellow hikers who blended in like any other trekkers. Unbeknownst to her, two of them were Indian cricketers Shreyas Iyer and Washington Sundar.
Dressed casually and without any entourage, the duo went unnoticed as they moved with the group. While she did notice a few people stopping to take photographs with them, she remained focused on the trek and reaching the waterfall. It was only after returning home and searching on the internet that she realised she had spent part of the hike alongside two players of the Indian cricket team.
Sharing the moment online, she jokingly wrote, "Hidden waterfall ki talaash me nikle the, Team India mil gayi," adding in the caption, "Humne socha tourists hain, ab regret bhi national level ka hai." In a follow-up Reel, the content creator admitted that she does not follow cricket and therefore failed to recognise the players. She wrote, "Mai nahin jaanti kisi cricketer ko."
The clip has since clocked over 14 million views online, with users expressing disbelief that someone could spend hours trekking with well-known cricketers without recognising them. Others humorously suggested that her lack of interest in cricket may have made the encounter even more memorable. HTC...
