Chanel's 'Superman bag' divides the internet

he latest Chanel Metiers d'art 2026 campaign has sparked debate online, thanks to an unexpected accessory: a Superman-inspired vanity bag. Priced at $3,575 (around Rs.3.4 lakh), the bag combines the iconic Superman shield with Chanel's signature interlocking CC logo.
The campaign is a part of creative director Matthieu Blazy's first Metiers d'art collection which debuted a few months ago and was showcased in a New York City subway station.
Inspired by New York street style and American pop culture, the collection has drawn mixed reactions online. Some supporters have praised the bag as a playful take on luxury fashion, while critics have labelled it tacky and questioned whether Chanel is straying too far from its heritage in a bid to appeal to younger consumers....
