Can you really fall in love more than once?
India, April 5 -- We often hear about the lifelong search for 'the one', that one true love meant just for us. This idea is rooted in the belief that true love happens only once. On the other hand, certain theories propose that we fall in love three times in a lifetime.
Dr Aditi Govitrikar, a psychologist, wellness expert, and India's first Mrs World, shares her views on these varying perspectives on love.
"I would argue that love has no limits, but is made of many layers," says Dr Aditi. She explains that in our youth, love is fiery, passionate, and is almost all-consuming. But as we age, love becomes quieter, steadier, and more profound.
Dr Aditi states that there is no fixed number of times someone can fall in love. It is not the capacity to love that changes, but the way we experience and hold love. Ultimately, love is not measured by how often it occurs, but by how meaningful it is.
She highlights that falling in love again is a sign of resilience from the heart. The more love we experience, the more we gain wisdom, and the better we understand our emotional needs and where to set boundaries....
