India, June 25 -- For actors Ashok Pathak and Durgesh Kumar, Tuesday brought a crossover they probably never imagined: their Panchayat alter egos, Binod and Bhushan aka Banrakas, getting a shoutout from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The actors, who recently met PM Modi at an event in Delhi, have been basking in the afterglow ever since the PM shared a video of their interaction on Instagram. Adding to fans' delight, he captioned the post, "Binod se kuch baatein", while the web series Panchayat's title track, played in the background. The clip quickly went viral, drawing congratulatory messages from fans and industry colleagues alike. Calling the moment surreal, Durgesh says, "Truly, it is magical. Mere liye toh wahi kaafi tha ki woh mere paas se guzre, but when he said, 'Binod, sunn raha hai tumhari?' we all started laughing. Itna achha laga that a dialogue which is on everyone's lips was spoken by our PM, and that too in his own style." For Ashok, whose character Binod has become a meme favourite, the moment felt extra special. "Humein toh sab Binod hi keh kar bulate hain. Now, with PM sir calling me by my character's name and posting it on his Instagram, it is no less than a big award. My parents, friends and co-artistes are very happy," he says....
