India, Aug. 4 -- After her Eternal Sunshine Tour concludes in London on September 1, Ariana Grande will take a break from public-facing work and appearances, with her team citing the "endless, ongoing public scrutiny" surrounding her health and appearance as the reason. In a statement to People, Grande's representative said, "She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny." They stressed that the break is not a retirement from entertainment but a pause to prioritise her health after an intense touring schedule. The 33-year-old singer-actor will also no longer star in the upcoming London revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park With George. Grande was due to appear opposite her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey in the musical, which is scheduled to open at London's Barbican in summer 2027. The production will continue without her, with Empire Street Productions saying her decision was made with its "complete understanding and support". Grande has faced intense public scrutiny over her appearance in recent months, with many on social media questioning her health after the release of the music video for Petal, the title track from her eighth studio album.
