India, July 7 -- After Allu Arjun's legal team sought exemption from appearing in person in the Sandhya theatre stampede case, citing his packed schedule in Mumbai, the Nampally court allowed the actor to attend Monday's hearing via video conference. However, due to the absence of a few co-accused, the magistrate adjourned the hearing to July 29. The stampede occurred on December 4, 2024 during the premiere of the film Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024) in Telangana's Chikkadpally, when a massive crowd rushed to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun's arrival. It resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman and left her son seriously injured. Following an investigation, the Hyderabad Police named 23 individuals, including the theatre management as the prime accused and the actor himself, who is listed as Accused No. 11. The actor, the makers of Pushpa 2 and the Telangana government had extended financial assistance to the family of the deceased woman and her son.HTC...
