India, July 9 -- Filmmaker-choreographer Ahmed Khan and actor Shahid Kapoor are childhood friends and have also collaborated professionally. However, there were rumours of a rift between them in 2015, and Khan has now opened up on their equation. Khan was the choreographer on Kapoor's debut music video Aankhon Mein Tera Hi Chehra and also on his debut film Ishq Vishk (2003). He also directed the actor in Fool N Final (2007) and produced his film Paathshaala (2010). "But in recent years, he's following a certain template of films that he wants to do. I, on the other hand, am making certain kinds of films that I want to make. We'll work together again when we come together (in terms of our sensibilities)," Khan told News18. He revealed that personally too, they don't meet often now: "Our friendship started some 30 years back. But yeh kaam hi aisa hai na ki you befriend so many new people that you forget who your real friends are. Our lifestyles have changed now." Their rumoured rift happened after Khan revealed in an interview that Kapoor did not visit him when he was bedridden in hospital following a severe vertigo attack.
