India, March 28 -- As Abhilash Thapliyal returns to the screen with Aspirants Season 3, following Anurag Kashyap's Kennedy (2023), the actor shares that he hopes to dabble into comedy next. When asked if that's next on his bucket list, Abhilash replies, "It should be in the producers' bucket list." He explains, "When you are an outsider, you don't have the choice to choose, to decide what we will play next. You know, it's more of what we are offered." Reacting to the idea of being born into a film family, Abhilash shares, "Of course. It's a privilege. Agar woh mil jaaye toh nothing like it. I mean, mera surname bhi agar Kapoor ya Khan hota toh it would have been different. Just imagine an actor playing an antagonist, a teacher, a drunkard, a photographer, or any XYZ character with so much conviction. Koi bhi star kid agar yeh karta toh headlines kya hoti? Mujhe batana nahin padta what all I have done, because you get a lot of support from the industry." However, Abhilash goes on to add, "You have to be talented for sure. You cannot just be a nepo kid and become a star. You'll have to be talented to sail through. But yes, if you have talent and if you're born in the industry, it helps for sure." Talking about the struggle of newcomers in the industry, Abhilash shares, "If someone really wants to be an actor, if that's the only thing he has in mind, and he comes to the city.
