India, Sept. 19 -- For singer Abhiijeet Saawant, Ganesh Chaturthi is extra special this year as he celebrates the release of his song Gana Dhav Re that marks his first recording with his daughters. He opens up about the song and why the collaboration holds a special place in his heart. "Gana Dhav Re is an old folk song from the Konkan area in Maharashtra. The title literally means 'Bappa mere liye aa jao'. Now we have come up with a newer version of this with composer Sanket Sane," says the 44-year-old, who is certain that the song will capture the essence of the festivities. The Marathi devotional track also features vocals by his daughters, Aahana Sawant (13) and Smeera Sawant (9). "What makes it more special is that this is the first time I am singing with my daughters," he shares. The proud father also reveals that the decision to have his daughters sing was completely unplanned. "It was a very random decision. Both my daughters have been learning classical music and singing for many years. My younger daughter, Smeera, has also done some ads. Both are very talented, and I thought this was the perfect song for them to start their journey," he says, adding, "We always believe that whatever good happens, it should always start with Shree Ganesh aarti. So, I am very happy both obediently sang their parts." Abhiijeet also shares that singing in front of their father, could have made his daughters nervous, but they remained calm and confident in the studio. "It was fun to tell them how to sing, what to do in the song and how to bring a sense of happiness to it," he ends....
